April Skills Clinic

Mondays - 8th, 15th, 22nd (5 - 6:30 PM)

Wednesdays - 10th, 17th, 24th (5 - 6:30 PM)

Saturdays - 13th, 20th, 27th (9 - 11 AM)

3 weeks (6 training days & 3 playing days = 9 total sessions totaling 15 hours of training!)

Who: Boys & Girls 6th - 9th grade & Boys & Girls 3rd - 5th grade (open to any school or club players) These groups will participate on the same days and times but will be broken up into the above grade groups for instruction and play. **SC Elite reserves the right to move players up or down according to their skill level/ability to best suit their needs for player development and safety**

What: Training led/coached by College of Charleston Women’s Volleyball Assistant Coach Kennedy Pointer (former Division I player at CofC) & three current players from the Charleston Southern College Women’s Volleyball team!!

• Players will receive comprehensive skills training (technical and tactical) on Mondays & Wednesdays 

• Coaches will cover all skills needed to both understand and execute physical skills on the court and ways to improve at home

• Passing

• Serving

• Setting

• Defense

• Strategy (thinking about what we are doing and why)

• Volleyball Rules

• On Saturdays, players will be broken into teams and put into game-like drills and competitions to practice the skills learned during the weekday training sessions.

• Feedback will be provided to each player in a fun, nurturing, stress-free coaching environment

Why SC Elite?: The coaches we have put together are former and current Division I players. These coaches have worked numerous college camps and understand what it takes to develop skills at all levels of the game. You will also be trained by a current Division I Assistant Coach! 

Our facility is built for VOLLEYBALL! Brand new net systems, high ceilings, bright LED lighting and lots of open space. 

More bang for your buck. We will limit the number of participants so that you don’t just feel like a number. Our ratio of coaches to players will try to be kept at 1:12. This allows for more specific player feedback and individualized instruction.

Where: SC Elite LLC 1159 Cainhoy Rd. Bldg B, Charleston, SC 29492. Our facility is one of the best in the area for volleyball training! We have 3 courts with plenty of serving space, high ceilings and all the training tools needed for instruction.

Cost: $300 (15 hours of training/play = $20/hr.)

Tryouts are a difficult time for clubs, coaches and families. We appreciate everyone's time and consideration to be a part of SC Elite. 

If you find yourself in the "Offered" section for a team please email us at scelitevolleyball@gmail.com to accept the offer. Once we hear from all our offers we will send out the next steps.

If you find yourself on the "Waitlist" section for a team, here is what you should know;

1. We will wait until all offered players respond until we move to the waitlist.

2. Coaches create there waitlist and will fill their team on a "need" basis by position first.

3. If there are enough players on a waitlist to form a second team we may ask everyone to come back for a secondary tryout (at no additional cost) so that we can see all of those players together again to form the second team.

If your number is not in an "Offered" or "Waitlisted" section we would like you to come back to our fall tryout in early October (date and time TBD, there is no additional cost to attend the secondary tryout).

Players that do not wish to be considered for a team they are offered should IMMEDIATELY contact the club and let them know so that we can remove you from our list.

If you have received an offer and plan on trying out at other clubs at a later date that is fine but know that your position is not guaranteed at that point. We will host a secondary tryout in the fall for those who wish to be considered for a second or third team at a particular age group and those who decide to tryout at other clubs.
